Description: The Whitley Law Firm Opioid Crisis Scholarship is available for undergraduate and graduate students who submit an essay on the topic of opioid addiction. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: The Whitley Law Firm is proud to sponsor the Whitley Law Firm Opioid Crisis Scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students who have been personally impacted and personally seen the consequences of the ongoing opiate crisis. Essays should reflect actionable steps that local, state, and federal governments can achieve through legislation to curb the tide of addiction.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

Applications and additional details about the Whitley Law Firm Opioid Crisis Scholarship are available using the provided links. To be considered for this award, students must write an original essay of approximately 1,000 words in length that addresses the applicant's personal experience with the opioid crisis and ideas for ways to solve the problems contributing to addiction. In addition, students must submit a recently updated resume and a transcript from their current college or university (incoming freshman students may submit high school transcripts to verify GPA).
