Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two or more awards offered annually. In prior years, two awards were offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Must be a resident of New Mexico for one year or more.
  4. Must currently attend a New Mexico high school.
  5. Must live in a mobile or manufactured home.
  6. Must plan to enroll full time at an accredited postsecondary, not-for-profit educational institution.
  7. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  8. Must be a graduating high school senior at time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. graduating high school seniors who have been residents of New Mexico for one year or more and attend a New Mexico high school. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and live in a mobile or manufactured home.

Additional Information: This fund was established in 1996 by the Manufactured Housing Association to provide a scholarship award to a New Mexico high school graduate residing in a manufactured home.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available on the Albuquerque Community Foundation website. In addition to a completed application, the applicant must also submit the following: a high school transcript; a copy of SAT or ACT scores; a personal essay addressing the questions listed on the application; a resume; one reference from a teacher or counselor (one page, one side only); a recent copy of a New Mexico State Income Tax Return; and proof of residency in a mobile/manufactured home (i.e., a copy of a title or rental agreement, or a retail installment contract or a county tax assessment). All application materials must adhere to the guidelines listed on the application. Applications must be submitted online by the deadline date.
