What Music Scholarships are Available for College?
Music majors may find music scholarships for college from many sources that support musical talents of all kinds. Are you a vocalist? Drawn to music performance or music education? In 1997, Yoko Ono and the BMI Foundation came together to offer annual awards that honor John’s legacy. It is open to college student songwriters and composers. Could You Get a Music Scholarship for Playing an Instrument?
Yes, if you qualify, you could receive a scholarship award for playing a musical instrument. Instrumentalists may play the piano, guitar, flute, clarinet, violin, trumpet, drums etc.
One grantor is the National Federation of Music Clubs. NFMC offers scholarships for various types of musicians attending a U.S. college. The NFMC Elizabeth Paris French Horn Award is one. Could You Get a Full Ride Scholarship for Music?

Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and some financial need; preference is given to applicants who are Moravian and/or are studying to enter a church-related vocation.
This award is available for U.S. students who are graduating from a high school in Dutchess County, New York. Applicants must plan to pursue a college degree in music, music education, art, or art education.
This scholarship is open to high school seniors who are residents of Forsyth County, NC, and plan to pursue a degree in music (preferably percussion). Students must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
This scholarship is open to high school seniors who attend a Forsyth County (NC) high school and reside in The Winston-Salem Foundation’s service area. This scholarship was designed to support a deserving art or music major who is a resident of Aquidneck Island, Rhode Island. The applicant must be enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior in an accredited four-year postsecondary institution.
